Today´s Game of the day is easily the game
of the week. It’s a battle of giants, two of the most successful teams in
Europe. It is two traditional teams from two football fanatic countries in, Italy
and Spain. It’s Lionel Messi, the world’s best footballer at the moment against
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is also one of the best in the world. They met twice in
the group stages of this tournament, were in Barcelona they game ended in a
draw 2-2 and in Milano the home team lost to Barca 2-3. So the games have been
close and a rivalry is starting to evolve. FC Barcelona is the favorite to
advance to the semi-finals but AC Milan could surprise. If they get a good
result from tonight it will be a different scenario going into the Barcelona
game next week.
Both
teams are missing some key players in their defense lineup but both teams have
deep squads.
To
keep in mind AC Milan has never lost at home in the quarterfinals, winning 10
times and drawing four.
Also
to keep in mind, the bluegrana team has won nine matches in a row in all
competitions since a 3-2 loss to Osasuna in early February.
